Whether it's a single fire door or a full compartmentation remediation programme, we deliver the same standard every time.
Most people aren't sure whether any of this applies to them. Tick anything below that sounds like your situation.
Under the Building Safety Act 2022 and the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, the responsible person for a building must be able to evidence its passive fire protection. The first conversation with us is free — and so is the first site visit.

Yes — this is a significant part of what we do. We work as a specialist PFP subcontractor for main contractors, housing associations, property developers and facilities management companies across London and Essex. We fit into your programme, provide RAMS and method statements in advance, and deliver full compliance documentation on completion. Contact us to discuss rates and availability for your next project.
On completion of works we issue: a photographic completion report, numbered schedule of works carried out, product data sheets and installation certificates for all fire stopping materials used, and a compliance statement confirming works are in line with manufacturer specifications and UK fire safety standards. All documentation is suitable for the building's golden thread information record under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Yes. We provide a full Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) package before works begin — tailored to each specific project. This covers penetration sealing, cavity barrier installation, fire door works and compartmentation remediation as required. RAMS can be submitted to your H&S team in advance for approval. We hold current CITB SMSTS, SSSTS, First Aid, Working at Height and Manual Handling certifications.
Passive fire protection refers to the built-in measures that form part of a building's structure — fire doors, compartmentation walls, fire stopping around service penetrations, cavity barriers and structural protection. Unlike active systems (sprinklers, alarms), PFP works continuously without activation. It is a legal requirement under UK Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act 2022.
Under the Building Safety Act 2022, the "accountable person" — typically the building owner, freeholder, or managing agent — is legally responsible. This includes commissioning regular surveys, maintaining records, and ensuring ongoing compliance. Failure to comply can result in enforcement action and criminal prosecution.
Under the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, multi-occupied residential buildings over 11 metres must have quarterly checks of communal fire doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors. All other buildings require at least annual inspection by a competent person.
Our surveys cover fire doors (gaps, seals, hardware, signage, closers), service penetrations through fire-rated walls and floors, compartmentation integrity, and cavity barriers where accessible. Every survey produces a written report with photographs, a numbered deficiency schedule, and clear recommendations.
A typical 20-flat residential block takes around half a day. Larger buildings or full compartmentation checks may take a full day or multiple visits. The written report is usually delivered within 2–3 working days of the survey.
We work to FIRAS-equivalent standards and hold ProQual Level 2 NVQ in Passive Fire Protection, ASFP certification and manufacturer-approved installer training (Nullifire, Firefly). Where a specification calls for a third-party certified installer, we deliver in partnership with FIRAS-accredited specialists — so you get the same certification trail and the same documentation on completion. Our own FIRAS accreditation is currently in progress. Tell us what your specification requires and we'll confirm in writing exactly how we'll meet it.
